| Discover a quaint 1860's miners cottage.....
Laidlaw Cottage is typical of the cottages built during Beechworth's heyday. It is located in one of our most delightful elm-lined streets, and is only 100 metres from shops in the town centre (and the V-Line stop). The cottage is ideally suited to a relaxing holiday enjoying leisurely walks taking in the history of the town, the delightful Gorge (less than ten minutes walk from your door), and the sights of Beechworth and the surrounding region.
A cosy ambience pervades the cottage from the wood heater, ample firewood is stacked by your door. (Use the gas heater if you prefer.) The well-equipped kitchen includes a microwave, full sized stove and fridge. Enjoy the views of the cottage garden from the kitchen table or wander up to the famous Beechworth Bakery (a great spot, especially for breakfast). Your basic laundry facilities are off the back verandah, along with a second toilet. Laidlaw Cottage is family-friendly. If you have a young family use our portacot, pusher, and high chair. Save the space in the car and leave yours at home. Inspection most welcome, by arrangement. |
